Avila Gardens, a residence for active seniors sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters, is located in the heart of California's beautiful San Gabriel Valley. Avila features a magnificent two-story Mediterranean-style building situated amid three acres of lushly landscaped grounds. Avila Gardens is located alongside a quiet residential neighborhood, large city park, historical museum, and golf course.

Adventures at Avila

On Wednesday, April 10th, eleven brave souls from Avila Gardens took to the heights to breathe in some fresh country air. There was a sense of fun that exuded from the faces of the residents and guests as they climbed the winding road up to the Azusa Canyon (route 39) located just a few miles from Avila Gardens, the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles' home for independent seniors. The Avila Gardens 2013 Sereni~Tea was a wonderful day of faith, friendship, and fun! The weather was very nice and a cool breeze wafted through the back patio like the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit that animated the peaceful serene tea party. There were a total of 23 sponsored tables uniquely crafted to perfection each with their own theme.
